Today, Our knowledgeable driver-guide will meet you to kickstart your journey, picking you up from your accommodation to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its mini-migration, particularly during the dry season. The life-giving Tarangire River serves as the park’s lifeline, attracting large herds of herbivores, closely followed by predators in search of prey. This unique landscape is characterized by vast herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the captivating baobab trees, also known as the “Tree of Life” due to the almost mythical powers attributed to it by some cultures.

Tarangire National Park is especially famed for the Tarangire River, which flows year-round and serves as the sole water source for wildlife during the dry seasons.

The park’s name, “Manyara,” originates from the Maasai language, specifically the Swahili term for the Euphorbia tirucalli plant. Interestingly, the Maasai utilize this plant to cultivate livestock stockades, which eventually grow into highly durable and stockproof hedges.

Your adventure in Lake Manyara National Park promises a variety of landscapes, each attracting a diverse array of wildlife.
