Welcome to the Triple African Adventure – Terms and Conditions

We’re excited to help you plan your unforgettable African safari! We understand that traveling in Africa can involve different regulations, weather, customs, and safety measures. To ensure you have the best experience, we’ve put together these guidelines. Please take a moment to read through them and reach out if you have any questions. Our team is always ready to assist you in making your safari experience smooth and memorable. Below are some key points to help you prepare:

Booking Your Safari

Booking your safari is a collaborative process. We’ll work with you to understand your preferences and design an itinerary that fits your needs. Once you finalize the details, we’ll provide payment information to secure your booking. After your initial payment, we’ll send you a confirmation and request some necessary details such as flight information, dietary preferences, and health status. Any special requests will be documented in writing and included in your agreement.

Pricing Guarantee:

When you make a reservation and submit your initial payment, the prices for the items listed in your quote are guaranteed. However, there may be situations where price adjustments are necessary, such as government tax increases, fuel surcharges, currency fluctuations, or errors in price estimation. If adjustments are needed, they will be limited to twice the original quoted price.

Credit Cards and Payment Guidelines:

For Mt. Kilimanjaro or Mt. Meru treks, a 10% deposit is required. Safaris need a 50% deposit. If booking flights or accommodations outside Moshi (e.g., Zanzibar or Arusha), a 100% deposit for the flight portion is required.

Payment Timing:

Your trip reservation won’t be confirmed until we receive your deposit. Since accommodations and flights can fill quickly, we recommend making your deposit early to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 3 month before arrival in Tanzania.

Wire Transfers:

You can also choose to pay via wire transfer from your bank. Our bank does not charge additional fees, but the sending bank typically charges $30 to $40 USD for the transfer.

In-Person Payments:

We accept in-person payments using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or UnionPay. Please note that a 4% service fee applies for Visa, MasterCard, or UnionPay, and 5% for American Express. While credit cards are accepted, we recommend paying with USD cash for smoother transactions, as only newer USD bills (2004 or later) are accepted in Tanzania.

Cancellations and Refunds:

If you need to cancel your trip, we will provide refunds for any recoverable amounts after deducting fees and taxes. You can also transfer the refundable amount to a future trip with Triple African Adventure, valid for up to one year. Alternatively, you can transfer the funds to another traveler. However, be aware that hotels, lodges, and airlines may have their own cancellation policies.

We also strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment. For Mt. Kilimanjaro climbs, medical and rescue insurance is mandatory.

Guest Representation and Consent:

When you make a booking and pay the deposit, you are representing all travelers included in your group. By making the payment, everyone in the group agrees to these Terms and Conditions, even if they haven’t signed the contract.

Health and Participation:

While we welcome all adventurers, those with health concerns (heart conditions, chronic illnesses, pregnancy, etc.) should carefully assess whether they are fit for the travel activities. If you have specific health needs, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you appropriately.

Changes to Travel Plans:

Occasionally, unforeseen circumstances may require changes to your itinerary. We will do our best to ensure your trip remains as enjoyable as possible and meets your expectations.

Accommodation Preferences:

We strive to meet your accommodation preferences, but some requests (e.g., connecting rooms or special dietary needs) may not always be guaranteed. We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Baggage Handling:

You are responsible for your personal belongings throughout your journey. We’ll provide you with details about baggage limits for any internal flights, as specified in your itinerary.

Photography and Videography:

We love capturing the memories of your adventure through photos and videos. By booking with us, you give us permission to use these visuals for promotional purposes.

Pricing Assurance:

Our tours and pricing are planned until December 31, 2023. Prices are based on rates as of January 2023. We reserve the right to adjust the prices if there are changes in factors like inflation, fuel costs, labor, materials, or currency exchange rates.
